Sometimes...
My family procrastinated sending out Christmas cards so much that now, today, New Years Eve Eve, we are finally sending them out. And you thought your family was dysfunctional. So this morning/afternoon, my mom makes me get off the computer because she wants to make our cards on the Hallmark website which is fine because too much computer is a drug and all that. But she was on the computer for almost 4 hours while me and the kids watched The Princess Bride (an excellent movie really). CRAZY! I know. Unfortunately, the end result of 500 hours of labor will not load for me to show you. Thank you modern technology. Weren't we supposed to have flying cars by now. If only Walt Disney was here, we would be decades before our time if he was. Ah well, lets not think of what could have happen, but what did happen. We have lots of ideas, perhaps we're just too lazy to carry them out. Hmm... Well now I've approached writers block... I hope my blog isn't boring. I have seen so many since I have become a blogger that are unentertaining and unoriginal. Is mine like that? Maybe that's why I don't have any followers. Although I'd hope not. I hope my life is entertaining enough for my lovely audience.
Real Floating Lights...
I found out today that Disney got the ideas for the floating lights in Tangled from Asia. For centuries now in Thailand (I think) they have been sending up floating lanterns for festivals. I'm pretty sure there is also a festival dedicated just to the floating lights. That is soooooo cool!!!!!!!!! I'm trying to get my parents to buy or at least make some to send up on New Years.
So I'm feeling a bit better about my life and school but not 100%. I've been trying to distract myself from thinking about it but I'm going to have to stop sooner or later. My mom said I could switch rooms and redecorate. I have been living in this house for about a year and a half now and I absolutely hate it. In Arizona, most houses have small bedrooms, maybe it's because they spend so much time outside? My bedroom in New Jersey (remember, that's where I was born and raised most of my life) was about 3 times the size of what I have now (I was sharing a room with my sister, but still, I'm living in a coat closet now). My dad painted it for me a couple weeks after we moved in (because before we moved, It was a nursery for the baby) but there was something I still hated about it. Maybe it was the size or that I have a super small hand-me-down bed from some person my dad worked with or that there is a sliding glass door that goes to the backyard or it could be the feng shui. I used to not believe in feng shui, but now I'm starting to. My sisters' room (they share a room) is about the same size as mine but instead of a huge sliding glass door, they have 2 windows and bunk beds. While my grandparents were here for Thanksgiving and I couldn't sleep in the guestroom (where I usually reside) I slept in my sisters' room on the top bunk and I felt soooooo much difference in the way I felt. I had a good night's sleep and I was happier in the morning. Their bed is on a different wall than mine is in my room. But it's probably because I was sleeping higher up. I guess I just want to be disconnected from the world. So I'm moving across the hall to my sisters' room and I am repainting and getting a loft bed (this will probably take several months but it's worth it) my sisters are taking my bed and getting a trundle accesory that we found online that looks exactly like the bed that I already have. My year old sister is already excited to sleep in the magic secret bed. It will also help that she got a Rapunzel life size Fathead for Christmas (she just doesn't know it yet). As for my other sister, she doesn't like the idea of moving across the hall for some reason. She hates change. It's kinda annoying most of the time because she even hates the color of the room she's in anyway and she likes the sliding glass door in my room. She just doesn't want anything to be different.
Also, I'm working on a sewing project. For my Sweet 16, I'm taking a few close friends to Disneyland for a couple days. My birthday is in October so we will be there for the Halloween party and we can dress up if we want. I'm going as Charlotte La Bouff from The Princess and the Frog in her pink ball gown. I have to make it because they don't have a costume online. Plus, I'll have a custom made one of a kind dress. I'm so excited!!!!!! I know I say that a lot but this time I mean it! I'm also making a Rapunzel dress for my sister and a Mother Gothel dress for my mom (and possibly a Flynn Rider costume for my dad, my sister is still in the "daddy is my prince" mode and wants them to dress up together). It will be hard, but it will distract me from depression.

I wish I could just jump into a Disney movie and marry a Prince
Yeah, so I haven't blogged in a while. My excuses are as follows: 1). I've been in school and these annoying people I call "teachers" and "mentors" have been piling on the homework as if the world is ending 2). Now that I've finally escaped the evil communist school I'm forced to attend by law, I have indulged myself with an amazing vacation to Sedona, Arizona where I saw Tangled for the 3rd time 3). I fear I have slipped into a depression only to be woken with a kiss from my Prince. What a life, right?
This Christmas was fun. My big present was a Lucky Brand jean jacket (which I LOVE) from my mom. I wish I was 4 again. I have two younger sisters 11 and 4, and my 4 year old sister was soooooooo happy opening her presents. I miss being young and naive, not having to worry about anything. She got some of the best presents that I would have loved if I was her age. My mom got her a Rapunzel (Disney) "barbie" doll and I got her <3 Flynn Rider <3 to go with it (my 11 year old sister's personality is similar to Maximus, the horse, so she got a Maximus doll to go with them as a joke). She also got a Disney Princess tea set and Rapunzel hair and other Disney and Tangled related presents. Besides the jacket I got a Caboodle (<3) and a pink Wii remote and we all got Snuggies (which are really really comfortable by the way) mine had Tinkerbell on it. Christmas Eve we had an AMAZING dinner and watched It's A Wonderful Life in our Disney theme pajamas (we really <3 Disney). Christmas day (night) we ate at a Chinese restaurant just like A Christmas Story. Yesterday we drove home from Sedona and even though I still have a full week left of vacation, I can still feel the minutes slipping away. It's the depression. I can feel the tears comming already. Thankfully my mom knows what I'm going through.
I have no life at school; my "best" friend just ditched me and now I have a few acquaintances who I don't really like anyway. On top of that, I'm not doing very well at this new school and halfway through the "trimester" (stupid communist school) I have two failing grades in Algebra and AP Government (freshman year!). Now I have to go to "after school hours" to "get help". Yeah right, I'm just going to get screamed at for an hour by people I don't respect. The teachers at this school are ridiculous. Since this is a charter school and not a regular public school (despite the rumors the "people" are spreading around) the teachers get bonuses based on how well their students are doing. Also, the "boosters" have a "master teacher program" where each family in the school is requested to donate $1500 to the chosen teacher who will be picked at the end of the year. THAT IS CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! Who has that money now anyway?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? AND on top of that, YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO IS GOING TO GET IT UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!! sometimes I wonder about these school people. Isn't the whole point of us going to a charter school because we want a "good" education without spending a million dollars? So, there's about 500 students in the school and we'll say about 450 families so that's like $675,000 to the ungrateful teacher. I have already been screamed at by one teacher who I thought was my favorite teacher. NOT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!! That teacher is one of my TWO language arts teachers. Almost every week we have to do a grammar packet for this class. Last year, I didn't learn anything in the grammar department at all, Arizona schools are over a year behind east coast schools (New Jersey, where I'm from) and on top of that, my teacher was using another teacher's lesson plans and CLEARLY didn't know what she was doing. Anyway, so I haven't really been doing well with these grammar packets as my teacher would have liked (75 to 50% correct) and on the last one I got about half of the questions right. That's a problem because that packet in particular I worked REALLY REALLY hard on and I even looked stuff up that I didn't know. Plus, I was sick at the beginning of the week so I missed some days. So he comes up to me after I tell him my grade and he just goes off on how "lazy" I am and how I "don't pay attention to him in class" NOT TRUE!!!!!!! I'm just sitting there trying to keep composure and he's asking me what I should do to do better and I have no idea what I can do better at the moment so I'm like "maybe I could try harder." and he just screams even more about how awful I am as a student IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS mind you. And I tried to drown him and my embarrassment out but I could feel all eyes on me and the class went silent. He has never yelled at someone like that before which made me even more upset. Finally, he stopped talking (yelling) and I was left alone to cry in my little corner of the classroom. And I'm not even failing that class!!!!!!!!! It really bothers me that there are other students doing worse than me but he chooses to pick on me and use me as the example of failure...
Adding on to my troubles, I am an LDS teen (Mormon) and I take Seminary in the mornings close to 7:00. Everyone I talked to said that seminary is a breeze, you just have to show up and even if you don't the teachers don't really care, some teachers bring breakfast, you play games every day... 100% not true. We have grades and reports and most likely, if I don't pass every year for 4 years, I might not get into any church owned colleges like BYU and SVU (where I REALLY want to go). I have been sick and late quite a few times and we are supposed to make up missed days by reading a general conference talk and write a reflection. I have missed 9 days!!!!!! at the beginning of the year when I only had missed 1 or 2 days, I asked what I could do the make it up and my teacher said to just read a Chapter in D&C (Doctrine and Covenants) and reflect that. He changed it up on me and didn't even count the days that I did make up which is most of my missed days. And I feel like everyone is putting pressure on me and telling me I might not have a future if I don't pass (even though you can't fail seminary, you can only get a D as the worst grade) especially my father who is a convert and wants us to be the perfect LDS family. He won't even tell me about his childhood and adolescences because he wants to run away from his past. And I know that he wasn't half as bad as most teens today because he had strict parents and my mom was in his life for most of his teen years and they lived in a small town. Every time I say I don't really want to go on a mission he screams at me (a lot of people in my life scream at me) and tells me how he wishes he could have gone on a mission when he can do it with my mom when the kids are out of the house. I just want to get married and have kids and I want to get through college as quickly as possible. So he's constantly giving me guilt trips about seminary.
I know it's going to get better but I'm still in the darkest part of the tunnel and have yet to see the light. Apparently, if I'm going through a hard time, I try to make up for it with something else, like most people do. This time, I'm using Disney, I am especially obsessed with Tangled, as you can see. This has happened before, at the end of 4th grade and all of 5th grade I was obsessed with Disney as well. Mostly Pirates of the Caribbean. (I was having friend and teacher issues then too). In 7th grade it was the Jonas Brothers (I have no idea what my problem was then, but I was a MAJOR fan). I just don't really click with teachers. Since 3rd grade and one part of Preschool, my teachers have had nothing good to say about me. I'm not obnoxious or loud, maybe a bit talkative but not incessant, but every parent-teacher conference has been just awful. My parents know I'm not lazy as they say I am. My mom thinks I have ADD or Non-Verbal Learning Disability, which is actually kinda the opposite, most people with it learned to talk at an early age; also, it has some dyslexic symptoms as well but it is not dyslexia, sometimes I read words in different orders and I still flip some letters and I don't know my right and left very well. ADD runs in my family, my mom and probably most of her siblings and their children have it and my 11 year old sister has ADHD. So I have lots of problems. It's always darkest before the dawn and I am almost certain it's going to get darker.

Which Prince really is Prince Charming??? Flynn Rider (WARNING! Contains Spoilers)
Flynn Rider: The last of our Official princes list. He's hilarious and extremely attractive. The main bad boy of the list (he's a thief). Flynn (or should I say Eugene Fitz Herbert, his real name) gets caught by Rapunzel when he hides from the palace guards in her tower. She says she will let him go (and give him the stolen goods) if he will take her to see the "floating lights". They go on an AMAZING adventure running from the palace guards and Rapunzel's mother and almost die 3 times. After a romantic boat ride to see the lights, Flynn gets caught by his so-called friends and is given to the guards. Flynn is condemned to death and is almost ready to take his punishment when he finds out Rapunzel has been captured by her mother again. He dodges the guards once again to save Rapunzel and is stabbed Mother Gothel (Rapunzel's centuries old "mother") When Rapunzel goes to heal him, he cuts her hair and Mother Gothel dies (its the only thing keeping her alive for so long). He's willing to die to keep her alive :...( (believe me, I saw it twice and I cried both times.
Song: I See the Light
Song: I See the Light
Cutest Line(s): "I know not who you are nor how I came to find you but may I just say... Hi, how you doin" and "I didn't want to do this but you leave me no choice. Here comes the smolder..." "You were my new dream." "
Well, that's the good part I guess. You get to go find a new dream."
and "Did I ever tell you I've got a thing for brunettes?"Attractiveness Scale: <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Romance Scale: <3 <3 <3 <3 (he takes her on a boat ride, saves her life, and dies for her)
Personality Scale: <3 <3 <3 3 (back to the whole dying for her part)
Which Prince really is Prince Charming??? Prince Edward
Prince Edward: Attractive? YES! Intelligent? no. He's not the brightest prince on the list but he really is attractive. Edward literally is the guy of Giselle's dreams. He is the typical prince (but more of a parody). Edward goes to save Giselle from New York City. But Giselle falls in love with another, Robert (unfortunately he's not a prince so I won't do a bio on him this time. But Patrick Dempsey. WOW!). He doesn't get THE girl but he does get A girl, Nancy, Robert's Fiance. With a Cinderella ending and a voice that simply makes me melt like a popsicle, Edward is definitely a contender in this battle of the Princes.

Which Prince really is Prince Charming??? Prince Naveen
Prince Naveen: One of THE hottest princes out there. He's another spoiled brat. His parents cut him off when he became of age and so he travels to New Orleans, where Jazz music was born. He doesn't want to get a job or get married. Naveen wants to be free to break as many hearts as he wants. The Shadow Man, Dr. Facilier turns him into a frog when he says he needs "green" and uses Lawrence, his butler of some sort to take his place and marry Charlotte La Bouff. All to take control of New Orleans and repay his debt to the voodoo spirits. Naveen gets Tiana turned into a frog as well when he mistakes her for a princess. They have to get back to the city before the clock strikes 12 and Mardi Gras is over.
Song: When We're Human
Song: When We're Human
Cutest Line(s): "Kissing would be nice, yes?" and "You will enjoy it, I guarantee. All women enjoy the kiss of Prince Naveen. Come, we pucker." and "But remember, you must give Tiana all the money she requires for her restaurant. Because Tiana...She is my Evangeline."
Attractiveness Scale: <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 (perfect score as a human and not too bad as a frog either)
Romance Scale: <3 <3 <3 3 (he makes her dinner and teaches her to dance)
Personality Scale: <3 <3 <3 3 ("he was very charismatic!!!!")
Which Prince really is Prince Charming??? Prince Eric
Prince Eric: Definitely a good one! He falls in love with Ariels voice and is determined to find her, the only problem is, she can't talk. After taking Ariel in and going on many romantic "dates" with her, Eric falls under Ursula's spell and almost marries her until he hears Ariel sing again. Before they can kiss, Ursula takes Ariel down below the sea and tries to take over the kingdom. Eric has to save her so he runs a ship into her heart and kills her.

Which Prince really is Prince Charming??? Aladdin
Aladdin: He comes from nothing and becomes a prince. Aladdin is a kind "street rat" when he meets Princess Jasmine and saves her life (he doesn't know she's the princess). Aladdin is put in jail (on Jafar's orders) so he can get the lamp. He uses the lamp to win Jasmine's heart, because she doesn't know he's the same guy from the market. He fights Jafar for her and is deemed worthy to become the prince.

Romance Scale: <3 <3 <3 <3 3 (a midnight magic carpet ride!!!!!)
Personality Scale: <3 <3 <3 <3 3
Which Prince really is Prince Charming??? The Beast/Prince Adam
The Beast/Prince Adam: He always got whatever he wanted. But that came and bit him in the butt when he offended the sorceress and got turned into a hideous beast. He was a hermit until Belle came and gave meaning to his life. Most of the movie he spends screaming at Belle because she's the only one brave enough to defy him; which is what he finds attractive in her in the end. He dies for her (awww :...) but then he comes back when the spell is broken and Belle realizes she loves him <333333
Song: Belle reprise (2 or 3 I think)
Cutest Line(s): At least... I got to see you... one last time.
Attractiveness Scale: <3 <3 (he's better looking as the Beast)
Romance Scale: <3 <3 <3 3 (the dance!!!!!!)
Personality Scale: <3 <3 3 (a bit temperamental at the beginning)

Which Prince really is Prince Charming??? Prince Philip
Prince Philip: The first prince with a personality!!!!! He's adorable and valiant. AMAZING! The kiss is definitely a plus. He goes face to face with Maleficent and doesn't even blink. The only thing is, I don't really like his clothes. But that was the time.
Song: Once Upon A Dream
Cutest Line(s): "I'm awfully sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you."
Attractiveness Scale: <3 <3 <3 <3
Romance Scale: <3 <3 <3 3 First he dances, then he fights, then he kisses!
Personality Scale: <3 <3 3
Which Prince really is Prince Charming??? Prince Charming
Prince Charming: The real Prince Charming. He's also only in about 10 minutes of the movie. The only problem I have with him being Prince Charming is that he doesn't really have a personality. His song is OK I guess and the focus is really on Cinderella, just like in Snow White. And Cinderella seemed to like him. He is The Prince.
Song: So this is love
Cutest Line(s): "No wait. Come back. Oh please come back! I don't even know your name! How will I find you? Wait! Please wait!"
Attractiveness Scale: <3 <3 3
Romance Scale: <3 <3 <3 A dance and a moonlight walk!!!!!!!!!
Personality Scale: <3 <3
Which Prince really is Prince Charming??? The Prince
The Prince: I kinda wish he had a name (although most people think his name is Prince Charming, this is not true. As I said at the beginning, there is only one Prince Charming). Snow White is my favorite princess just so I can be different. It's THE most innocent Disney Princess movie out there and so is the prince. Unfortunately, he's only on screen for like 10 minutes over all so we don't really know what his personality is like, besides what we see in the beginning. We do know he's sweet and kind and can sing really well (I hope they can restore the sound better so we can hear what he really sounds like) and he's sensitive; he cries for Snow White right before he kisses her.
Song: One Song
Cutest Line(s): (his only line) "Hello. Did I frighten you? Wait! Wait, please! Don't run away! Now that I've found you, hear what I have to say..."
Attractiveness Scale: <3 <3 <3 3 (3 1/2)
Romance Scale: <3 <3 <3 <3 His song gives me chills!
Personality Scale: <3 <3 (only because he's not really in the movie)
Which Prince really is Charming???
I've come to ask myself this question recently. I mean everyone knows there can only be one Prince Charming but is he as charming as his name suggests. Does he deserve to be the top Disney prince along with his true love, Cinderella? Personally I think all of the princes should be equal but still, I would like to know... (the ratings will be out of 5)
Finally! My first post!!!!!!!
Well, I've had this blog up for like 5days but i'm a perfectionist so I had to make sure the layout was perfect and such. So welcome to my blog...
Anyway, this weekend has been good so far. Last night I saw Tangled for the second time (I saw it last week with my mom but my sisters wanted to see it too). One of my All Time favorites. @ the bottom of the page I have my playlist and there are some songs from Tangled on it. I <3 Flynn Rider!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's like the hottest cartoon character ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too bad he's taken :..( and a cartoon :..( I can not wait until Tangled comes out on DVD. It's unfortunate that I have seen (since it's still going on) it at the beginning of it's run in the theaters. I guess I'll just have to keep going again and again until it comes out (excuse to go again #1: My dad hasn't seen it yet!!!!!). I already have the soundtrack from Itunes and have listened to it 3 times through.
So life is good. Last Friday our 50" plasma tv of 5 years burnt out just after the warranty expired in January. Ugh and we've had to use a small tv in a big room for a week. I guess it's better than no tv. And we have an excuse to buy a new one. I don't really watch that much tv anyway. See, I go to this charter school (its like a private school with no tuition) that just opened this year and I have HOURS of homework every night because we want to beat the European schools (yeah, thanks Obama*). I really don't like school now (not that I ever did) I'm in highschool and I should be having the time of my life right? WRONG according to our principal who when my friend honestly and respectfully said she would rather be at the public school because most of her friends go there said "School is more important than friends!" and got all defensive like that. I can't imagine what her childhood was like. This school is hardcore with the books and most of the people that go there 5-10th grade so far (it will be 5-12 in a couple years) are spoiled and socially awkward. There are these twins in 7th grade that could be the poster boys for nerds. They slick their hair back every day and wear button down shirts and dress pants up to their armpits every day with their black standard rolling backpacks. Who lets their kids leave the house like that? I take improv as an extra curricular and there is this one girl who didn't know what American Idol or the Prom was!!!!! Has she been living under a rock?!?!?!?!? All of the parents of these kids seem normal but I think they've brainwashed their children. As for the spoiled, there is this guy in my class that has complained that his signed Paul McCartney guitar was stolen. And he brings his laptop in to take notes on instead of paper like the rest of us...
I feel like I live in a sitcom
*I do not hate Obama, I was just being facetious. He's going to be our president for the next couple of years and we're just going to have to deal with it.
