Things are looking up *yay* I've had enough of the 5 hours of homework and teachers that don't understand and people that just up and leave my life. My parents are taking me out of Basis (I spelled it wrong just to make them mad, it's really supposed to be BASIS like they're superior to everyone else... yeah, I'm a rebel) and homeschooling me online. I am cautiously excited about this. I know the work will definitely be easier compared to my current 2 honors classes and 1 AP but I'm scared about the friend issue. Not that I have any real friends to worry about but still, how will it be when I'm at home all of the time?... I will have a social life anyway, I'm joining CYT (Christian Youth Theater, which isn't a church really, they just put on shows that are appropriate for kids and teens and it's run by Christian people) to follow my passion for musical theater...BROADWAY!... I really want to get into Broadway as my profession. I should probably post some videos of me singing. Anyway, that's another reason why Basis wasn't for me, they focus so much on math and science (again, Thank you President Obama. Remember, I'm not an Obama hater, I'm just sarcastic) and trying to get us ahead of the rest of the world (which I really don't understand anyway) that their arts programs are totally lax. Their choir is composed of 6 girls and a teacher who I heard is good but coming from an award-winning Chorus and Show Choir, it's less than mediocre. The teacher has her heart in it, but 2 girls I know in particular (who also were in Show Choir with me) say that she has started them with the basics (which is not the Basis way, mind you, my 5th grade sister is taking pre-algebra which is what I took last year) and has them singing "child-ish" songs and has thrown in some awful dance moves as well... So I'm soooooo excited to go to CYT to learn and make friends and do what I LOVE. It's my dream to get into Broadway... My Floating Lights...
